Music Ministry

Philosophy

It is the goal of the Music Ministry to provide opportunities for girls and boys and men and women to relate to and serve God in a personal way through preparation and performance of music for worship services, church outreach events, and all other occasions where music is needed or desired.   We seek to relate our music to congregational needs and tastes, but unashamedly declare God to be our ultimate “consumer.”

Organizations

• Pre-School Music Time Choir - ages 4 thru 5 years old; meets Sundays at 5:30 pm.
• Children’s Choir - 1^st thru 5^th grades; meets Sundays at 5:30 pm.
• Youth Choir - 6^th thru 12^th grades; meets Sundays at 5:30 pm - (Sep. thru May)
• Sanctuary Choir - older youth thru adults; meets Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
• Senior Adult Choir - older adults; meets Thursdays at 2:00 pm - (August thru June)
• Adult Ensemble - older youth thru adults; meets Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
• Handbells - youth thru adults; meets Sundays at 4:15 pm - (September thru May)
• Children Summer Musical - 1^st thru 5^th grades; meets during summer following a schedule published each spring.
• Spirit of Christmas - youth thru adults; spearheaded by the Sanctuary Choir and rehearses concurrently with them - (August thru early December).
